Macroeconomic Forecast Lithuania

November 2011 | Macroeconomic Forecasts

Lithuania's consumer price inflation resumed its disinflationary trend by slowing to 4.2% y-o-y in October, after increasing to 4.5% y-o-y in September from 4.4% y-o-y in August following three months of cooling consumer price growth. We expect this slowdown to continue in the latter part of 2011 and into 2012, as global commodity prices continue to moderate, and are sticking to our average inflation forecast of 3.2% y-o-y in 2011, and expect consumer price growth to reach 3.0% y-o-y by end-2012.
