November 2011 | Ratings Update

According to a poll carried out by the agency Mediana and published by TV Slovenija in November, Jansa's Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS) continues to lead public opinion, and would garner 25% of the vote in elections due in December. Meanwhile Virant's DLGV and Jankovic's LZJ would achieve 19.0% and 14.0% of the public vote respectively. At the same time, Borut Pahor's Social Democrats would garner just 6.0% of the vote, most likely ruling them out playing any role in the next administration. With no party set to gain an absolute majority however, we still expect the next government to take the form of a coalition.
