November 2011 | Ratings UpdateTurkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz stated on November 16 that Turkey is not planning to cooperate with Iran to construct nuclear power plants. This comes a day after Iranian authorities had suggested that Iran would be willing to share its technology with neighbouring nations. Given the country's high dependence on imported foreign energy, Turkey has been making recent strides to develop new nuclear power plants within its borders.
