November 2011 | Ratings UpdateNationalist and leftist demonstrators clashed with the police in Warsaw on November 11, in the occasion of Poland's Independence Day, leaving about a dozen people injured. For weeks, groups of anarchists, environmentalists, gay-right activists, and pro-abortion movements have been reportedly planning to disturb the All-Polish Youth nationalist march. This has led Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski to investigate possible ways to amend Poland's legal system, which is considered too permissive regarding assemblies. In any case, we believe the event to be of a sporadic nature, and we therefore decided to keep our proprietary short-term political risk rating
