Political Deadlock To Remain

The Moldova government has set November 18 as a date to select a president after two years of political deadlock. While the move creates new hope that a breakthrough can occur, there are few signs that either of parliament's main parties is likely to join the other to reach the 61 votes (out of 101) required. As a result, we expect the political stalemate to persist in the near future
