Moving Towards Crisis

We believe that the fundamental path for Ukraine's political trajectory is coming to a head. Deteriorating relations with Russia, the EU and the US against the backdrop of flagging political support at home and an increasingly risk averse external financial environment means that tough choices lie in the near term. In particular we highlight the risk of a breakdown in the country's IMF agreement as being a distinct possibility, presaging a rockier path for the economy.
