Challenging Business Environment To Persist

Despite continued investor interest in gaining access to Turkmenistan's economy, in particular the hydrocarbons sector, we hold to our view that the Central Asian state suffers from one of the most difficult business environments in the world. Moreover, we expect only piecemeal progress towards liberalising the economy and improving the business environment in the coming years.
