July 2011 | Risk SummaryPrime Minister Petr Necas of the Civic Democrats has put forth a plan to outlaw anonymous political campaigning and increase the transparency of campaign financing. The seven-point plan includes fines on both participating political parties and publishers that publish the anonymous campaigns. Moreover, political parties will be forced to publish details on campaign spending. The opposition, the Social Democrats, has called for a cap on spending, proposing a CZK80mn limit.
