Government's Mandate To Persist

We hold to our view that Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov will maintain an ironclad monopoly on power. However, in the face of ongoing anti-government movements in the MENA region and rising regional threats including terrorism and ethnic violence, we note the potential for the regime to maintain a more guarded approach to potential challenges to power.
