Macroeconomic Forecast Armenia

Armenia's official unemployment rate has climbed somewhat in March, reaching 6.8% of the total workforce, compared with 6.6% back in February. Nevertheless, despite the small spike in the number of people unemployed, this compares favourably with 2010 levels, when unemployment averaged 7.1%. With scope for stronger economic growth this year, we see the unemployment rate dropping further over the course of the year, forecasting 5.5% by year-end.
