April 2011 | Risk SummaryThe Czech centre-right coalition government survived a vote of no confidence on April 26 after all three parties of the coalition vowed support for the government. This came after weeks of ructions between coalition partners the Civic Democrats (ODS), Top 09 and Public Affairs (VV) and a cabinet re-shuffle overseen by President Vaclav Klaus. Despite having avoided a political stalemate, we do not believe that the troubles are over for the administration. While we do not expect a total governmental collapse, we do see scope for a new coalition to be formed later in the year.
